The Internaltional joint program
International Joint Training Program: Dual Degree between “Bachelor of Digital Communication and Media Design” and “Bachelor of Communication and Media.”
1. Admission Targets:
- Students who have graduated from high school and met the admission requirements for the Digital Communication and Media Design major at UEH according to annual criteria and enrollment quotas.
- Entrance English Proficiency: Level 4 (according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework), equivalent to TOEIC 600, IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 61-71.
- English Requirement for Transfer: After completing Semester 4, students must achieve TOEIC 700 / TOEFL iBT 80 / CBT 213 / PBT 550 / IELTS 6.5 to transfer to Macao for the remainder of the program.
2. Training Duration and Program:
- Candidates must meet the admission requirements of both UEH and USJ to be officially accepted.
- Study Roadmap: Students complete Semesters 1, 2, 3, and 4 at UEH, then transfer to USJ for Semesters 5, 6, and 7. Alternatively, students may start with Semesters 1-4 at USJ and transfer to UEH for Semesters 5-7.
- Language Support: If a student has not achieved IELTS 6.5 by the end of Semester 4 at UEH, they are required to attend an intensive English bridge course at UEH before transferring to USJ.
- Class Size: Minimum 05 students – Maximum 30 students per class.
3. Language of Instruction: English.
4. Faculty: Selected and appointed by the Program Management Board.
5. Training Scale:
- Annual Enrollment Quota: 05 – 10 students per year.
- Enrollment Timeline: Two admission rounds per year (subject to the agreement between the partner universities).
6. Training Locations:
- University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Vietnam.
- University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Macao.
7. Degrees Awarded:
- Bachelor of Communication and Media issued by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ).
- Bachelor of Digital Communication and Media Design issued by UEH.
- Note: In cases where students do not fulfill the requirements for both degrees, certificates for completed courses or program participation may be granted.
8. Implementation Roadmap:
- For UEH Students: 2 years at UEH (78 credits) and 1.5 years at USJ (79 credits).
Total: 157 credits. - For USJ Students: 2 years at USJ (94 credits) and 1.5 years at UEH (47 credits).
Total: 141 credits. - Note on General Education: All courses are taught in English. However, for Vietnamese students, Political Theory subjects (e.g., Marxist-Leninist Philosophy, Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology) may be taught in Vietnamese.
